FINALS FINALS

I want:
To suggest there is beauty in nature
To suggest simplicity is beautiful
To suggest perspective is always key
To suggest that art is valuable
To suggest good design
To suggest getting lost in nature
To suggest looking at things anew.

Concept Statement:

The vast spread
Of darkness
That speaks of mystery
The darkness that reveals
The beauty that lies beneath
In the form of glittering
Stars, a countless beauty
That seemed to conceal
A million stories
That can make the mankind
Take a new look at life
And the majestic moon
That silently looks at mankind
Wondering how its serenity
Was disturbed by the little steps
Of a man from the beautiful earth
Yet softly smiling back
And let the world sleep
In its magical glow
A glow that soothes
The world’s senses
And forget the pain of reality"

  1. Justin, you really know how to use negative space well. Your type is working quite well considering the texture on the back is made out of the type. Your books are subtle and simple, and i think its working well

  2. I think you were successful portraying your to suggest list. I love the use of textures throughout your series. The type combined with images is beautiful and you did a great job portraying the content of your books. Good job.

  3. Sick. I love the stark black and white contrast and the typography is brilliant. The simplicity of the covers compliments the photography and the pays homage to the artists in the books. Nice!

  5. It's just so clean. The type looks like it was just taken with the picture. It belongs there. Your "to suggest" list really goes along with your concept and design. Very well done.
